About Us

CWA Transport, Inc has been in the trucking business in the Central Wisconsin area since 1983. We started out as an agent for Airborne Freight Corporation out of the Milwaukee airport. We also delivered LTL out of the Milwaukee area for various freight forwarders to the Central Wisconsin area.

In 1990 we moved to our present location at 535 Edison Street in Mosinee. We worked closely with Wausau Papers Mills in Brokaw and Mosinee, and Weyerhaeuser in Rothschild, moving truck loads of finished product to their customers in Wisconsin and Illinois. Also at this time the LTL and Airborne Freight business continued to grow.

In 2002 Airborne was bought out by DHL Express and we became an exclusive agent for them, giving up the truck load and LTL part of the business.
 

In February 2007 DHL discontinued their business in the United States leaving CWA Transport to start over with small package and LTL shipments in Central Wisconsin, and expedited shipments anywhere in the contiguous 48 states.
